Senior Full-Stack Application Engineer (Sports Data) (Python/React/GCP): Building and operating reliable applications, performance dashboards, race-day tools, and scientific data products for an elite pro cycling team with an accent on full-stack engineering, sports data integration, and performance science tooling. Focus on deploying cloud-native applications, translating power and aerodynamic models into usable tools, and maintaining secure, reliable systems during race-day operations.
Location: Elsbethen, Austria
Minimum salary: EUR 2,535 gross per month; market-oriented compensation is significantly above this minimum.

What you will do
- Build, maintain, and improve performance dashboards, race-day tools, and team time trial planning applications.
- Integrate Sports Data Platform databases, APIs, and data products into practical applications.
- Translate requirements from riders, coaches, data scientists, and performance staff into technical specifications and intuitive tools.
- Turn power, VO2, aerodynamic simulation, and mean-max power models into deployed applications.
- Deploy and operate applications using infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, containers, and cloud services.
- Maintain code quality, documentation, security, testing, and operational reliability, including race-day support.
Requirements
- Higher education in IT or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluency in German and English is required.
- At least three years of relevant experience in full-stack software engineering, data application engineering, or a comparable technical role.
- Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs, React, SQL, and production-grade application development.
- Experience with data products, BigQuery, dbt-modelled datasets, cloud and DevOps tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Experience with automated testing, secure engineering, code reviews, documentation, and collaborative requirements analysis.
Nice to have
- Early leadership experience, web scraping, third-party integrations, mapping tools such as Leaflet, or BI and visualisation tools such as Recharts and QuickSight.
