Embedded Software Application Engineer Specialist (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, document, maintain, and release software for electrohydraulic steering systems.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and logic design through implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Specify requirements, break down functional and software logic, and take operational responsibility for the assigned scope.
• Tune vehicle-level functionality and perform hands-on feature testing, troubleshooting, rapid prototyping, and systems development.
• Collaborate with embedded, mechatronic, verification, and global development teams as well as suppliers.
• Contribute to functional safety, cybersecurity, knowledge sharing, and continuous engineering improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in embedded software or systems development.
• Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, AUTOSAR integration, Vector DaVinci, C++, and C#.
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Git, static code analysis tools, and rapid prototyping; dSPACE experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of SystemWeaver, diagnostics, UDS, ISO 26262, and functional safety.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams and suppliers.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of vehicle dynamics and advanced steering systems.
• C/CE driving licence.
