TL;DR
SSR Java Spark Developer (Finance): Improving the performance of daily batch processing and integrating quantitative libraries with an accent on numerical computing, parallel processing, and credit counterparty risk models. Focus on optimizing memory and multithreading, building reliable tests and CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining secure Spark and Parquet data workflows.
Location: 100% remote, associated with Málaga, Spain

What you will do
- Improve performance so daily batch processing runs on time.
- Integrate quantitative libraries into the application.
- Write tests, resolve security findings, and keep the CI pipeline green.
- Collaborate with Quant, Data, and IMM teams on credit counterparty risk model development.
Requirements
- Strong Java skills, including performance optimization, memory management, and multithreading.
- Experience with numerical computing, heavy calculations, and parallel processing.
- Experience with Spark and Parquet.
- Experience with JUnit, Git, and CI/CD.
- English at B2/C1 level required.
Nice to have
- AWS experience.
- Basic understanding of financial risk and XVA; this knowledge can be developed on the job.
