Art Outsourcing Lead (Game Development)

Location: Remote-friendly, with priority for candidates local to Bellevue, WA and open to occasional onsite collaboration.

Salary: $104,054–$156,079 annually, plus annual bonus potential.

Develops and publishes the Guild Wars game series, including Guild Wars 2, for a global player community.

What you will do

• Drive and maintain the visual quality of outsourced art content with Art Managers and discipline leads.
• Lead the outsourcing art team by establishing best practices, standards, and clear workflows.
• Direct and mentor internal outsourcing artists through verbal and written feedback.
• Communicate visual design and development requirements through art specifications, style guides, and reference materials.
• Improve the outsourcing pipeline, asset integration process, and production tracking.
• Partner with internal artists, production teams, and external vendors to validate asset delivery and provide production support.

Requirements

• Experience leading or coordinating outsourced art production for games.
• Ability to establish art standards and communicate visual direction clearly.
• Experience creating documentation, asset specifications, style guides, and reference materials.
• Ability to mentor artists and collaborate with art leadership, discipline leads, production, and external partners.
• Willingness to participate in occasional onsite collaboration in Bellevue, WA.
