QA Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan. Work is available fully remotely, from the office, or in a hybrid format. Conditions: Kazakhstan.

Salary: EUR 770–1300 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Prepare and execute test cases, checklists, test data, and test reports based on project requirements.
• Test backend functionality, REST APIs, integrations, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Participate in requirements analysis, assess product quality risks, and identify missing or contradictory scenarios.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, System Analysts, developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure release quality.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manual testing experience, primarily with backend, API, and integration testing.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or payment systems, including loyalty programs, bonuses, cashback, and financial transactions.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL, HTTP, JSON, and client-server architecture.
• Experience testing microservices and event-driven systems, including Kafka topics, producers, consumers, and event processing.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing, data reconciliation, log analysis, and defect localization using Kibana, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Colvir or other core banking systems, and basic CI/CD knowledge. English: Intermediate or above.
