Senior Software Engineer & Scrum Master (Semiconductor)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; onsite role. Travel required for approximately 10% of the time. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Own Agile and Scrum activities, including Jira management, backlog prioritization, epics, daily meetings, dependency tracking, and sprint planning.
• Lead quarterly and sprint-level planning, coordinate integrations and cross-functional interfaces, and manage project timelines and development quality.
• Provide technical leadership through code design, technical decisions, code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring.
• Design and develop complex software features for a next-generation platform supporting semiconductor production and scanning electron microscope tools.
• Develop team members by matching responsibilities to capabilities, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth.
• Drive quality improvements across testing, automation, CI/CD, release workflows, and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Team Lead, or in comparable leadership work.
• At least 7 years of backend or server-side software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages and software design principles.
• Knowledge of source control, code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD, and release workflows.
• Experience with AI-first development practices and AI-powered engineering tools or agents.

Nice to have

• Cloud experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments.
• Experience with distributed systems or event-driven architectures such as Temporal, Redis, RabbitMQ, or Apache Flink.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects involving software, algorithms, automation, QA, and product teams.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry.
