Junior Firmware Engineer (BIOS)

Location: Kunshan, China; satisfactory proof of the right to work in China is required

Develops low-cost, low-power programmable logic solutions, including FPGA, CPLD, and programmable power management devices, for global customers.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain BIOS functional modules for desktop, mobile, and server platforms.
• Reproduce, test, troubleshoot, release, and maintain BIOS features and modules.
• Define and develop new features for major OEM customers.
• Port and adapt modules across mainstream Intel and AMD platforms.
• Support requirements assessment, feasibility analysis, and workload estimation for BIOS customization and NRE projects.
• Provide on-site support and complete a structured technical training program during the first three months.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, programming logic, data structures, computer architecture, and fundamental programming principles.
• Hands-on experience or relevant coursework in embedded systems or firmware development.
• CET-4 English is required for reading technical documentation and basic spoken communication; CET-6 is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow company arrangements, travel for business, and provide on-site support.
• Must have the right to work in China.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with x86, ARM, or RISC-V architectures and UEFI BIOS concepts.
• Knowledge of I2C, UART, USB, PCIe, EDK II, driver interfaces, library classes, and UEFI protocols.
• Strong academic performance, scholarships, C programming awards, or algorithm competition experience.
