Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (AI) (Go/React): Building and operating high-availability fullstack services and Go backend systems that power end-to-end consumer journeys across the Grab app with an accent on scalable architecture, performance, security, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. Focus on auditing AI-generated code, resolving complex distributed-system issues, managing production incidents, and improving engineering standards through technical leadership.

What you will do
- Build, operate, and optimize scalable, high-availability fullstack services and Go backend systems.
- Develop systems that support end-to-end consumer journeys across login, home, activity, discovery, and transaction experiences.
- Use and validate AI-assisted engineering workflows for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Design scalable architectures, manage system performance and capacity, and resolve complex distributed-system issues.
- Own product outcomes, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and manage production incidents during on-call rotations.
- Raise engineering standards through design and code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in Go, or strong expertise in Java, C++, Scala, Rust, Python, Node.js, or C# with willingness to write Go.
- Experience with React and JavaScript or TypeScript, distributed systems, large-scale web services, networking, performance tuning, and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and the ability to audit AI-generated code for security, correctness, and maintainability.
