What you will do
- Install, configure, deploy, update, and manage modeling and simulation software on Linux-based HPC and storage infrastructure.
- Optimize HPC configurations, cloud resources, system performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and users to deploy modeling, simulation, and AI workflows.
- Design networking solutions for FlexLM and other license servers and manage commercial software licenses.
- Monitor and automate SLURM cluster operations and document system designs and operating procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, application support, user training, and continuous improvement across cloud and HPC environments.
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience in cloud computing and application development, including at least two years of hands-on GCP experience.
- Experience supporting modeling and simulation environments, including Ansys, Schrodinger, AMS, FEA, CFD, DFT, or MD.
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining SLURM-based Linux clusters and working with HPC scheduling tools such as PBS or LSF.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, SaaS, multi-cloud environments, Docker, infrastructure as code, storage architectures, distributed file systems, networking, and security.
- Understanding of FlexLM, DSLS, application licensing models, identity and access management, encryption, and secure network design.
- Experience deploying AI-enabled engineering workflows and custom applications, with exposure to OpenFOAM, Python scientific computing, Vertex AI, MLOps, or model deployment.
