Patient Care Tech - Med Surg Oncology Full Time Days (Medtech)

Salary: $18.22–$24.60 per hour

What you will do

• Provide clinical and personal-care support to patients under the direction of registered nurses or physicians.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens; perform 12-lead EKGs, bladder scans, point-of-care testing, and related clinical procedures.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, positioning, hourly rounding, documentation, and patient requests.
• Monitor patient safety as a Safety Attendant/Telesitter Monitor and promptly notify the care team of concerns.
• Support admissions, advance-directive documentation, electronic bed-board management, and electronic medical record downtime recovery.
• Participate in training and performance-improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and listing on the Illinois CNA Registry, or successful completion of one nursing-student clinical rotation with written verification.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• On-site work in Lake Forest, Illinois, United States.
• Successful completion of a background check may be required.
