2D Supervisor (Nuke)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the London office. Core hours are 10:00–17:30, Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Lead the creative direction, look development, and overall direction of the 2D department.
• Manage, brief, mentor, and provide feedback to compositors across junior, mid, and senior levels.
• Review and finalise frames, maintain shot quality, and resolve technical and artistic compositing challenges.
• Coordinate with production on scheduling, workflow, pipeline management, and bidding for current and future projects.
• Lead daily compositing reviews, attend client reviews, and communicate notes and instructions to artists.
• Guide long-term 2D team growth and pipeline development, including stereoscopic projects and on-set VFX supervision.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a leadership role within film VFX.
• Expert user of Nuke with a deep understanding of film VFX processes and pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across VFX and support departments.
• Strong attention to detail, quality control, organisation, and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to work from the London office at least 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Basic working knowledge of Maya and Photoshop.
