2D Supervisor (VFX)

Location: Paris, Île-de-France, France. Hybrid work with a requirement to work from the Paris office at least 3 days per week. Core hours are 10:00–17:30, Monday to Friday, with 40 contracted hours per week.

What you will do

• Lead the creative and look development process for the 2D department alongside VFX and CG Supervisors.
• Manage, brief, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to compositors across junior, mid, and senior levels.
• Review and finalize frames, maintain quality standards, and address technical notes before submission.
• Coordinate production schedules, workflows, bidding, and pipeline development for current and future projects.
• Attend client reviews, lead daily compositing reviews, and communicate client feedback to artists.
• Provide on-set VFX supervision and solve difficult technical and artistic compositing challenges.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a leadership role within a visual effects pipeline.
• Expert-level knowledge of Nuke and a deep understanding of film VFX processes and pipelines.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in shots and sequences.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills across VFX and support departments.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to work from the Paris office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Basic working knowledge of Maya and Photoshop.
• Experience with stereoscopic projects and 2D pipeline development.
