Intern Analyst (Fintech)

Location: On-site in Mexico City, Mexico; minimum 30 hours per week for two months

What you will do

• Own a real analytical project from the initial question through the final recommendation with mentor support.
• Pull, clean, and analyze data to answer concrete business questions.
• Build dashboards, metrics, and recurring reports used by the team.
• Investigate anomalies and unexpected metric movements.
• Translate analysis into clear conclusions and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Document and present work, explain the methodology, and answer questions from the team.

Requirements

• Final-year Bachelor's student or recent graduate in economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Basic SQL knowledge and confidence working with spreadsheets.
• Analytical thinking, hypothesis-driven work, and the ability to turn data into an actionable story.
• Working-level English is mandatory because day-to-day work is conducted in English.
• Availability for at least 30 hours per week for two months and on-site work in Mexico City is required.
• Curiosity about products, customers, and business behavior, with strong attention to detail and ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Metabase.
• Coursework or practical experience in statistics, A/B testing, or forecasting.
• Previous internship, research project, or university project using real data.
• Interest in fintech, banking products, or credit.
