Manual QA Engineer (Adtech/Fintech)

Location: Remote, Tbilisi

A platform for advertisers that provides ad account top-ups, local-currency wallets, commissions, cashback programs, invoices, closing documents, analytics, and a Partners API.

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and mockups, define acceptance criteria, and create checklists and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, exploratory, smoke, and regression testing across UI, business logic, APIs, databases, and advertising platform integrations.
• Validate financial calculations, payment scenarios, multi-currency behavior, and related business rules.
• Reproduce user-reported issues, create and prioritize Jira defects, verify fixes, and provide feedback.
• Prepare test data and test users while maintaining regression suites and QA documentation.
• Contribute to future end-to-end automation with Playwright alongside the development team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manual testing experience with web applications.
• Fluent Russian at C2/native level and English at B2/C1 level for technical documentation.
• Strong test design skills, including equivalence classes, boundary values, decision tables, and state transition diagrams.
• Experience with REST API testing using Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman, Chrome DevTools, SQL, Jira, Git, and CI/CD.
• Ability to write complete bug reports, work independently with incomplete requirements, and clarify details during backlog grooming.
• Experience using AI tools to generate test artifacts and analyze logs, with strict protection of financial data, personal data, and tokens.

Nice to have

• Experience building a testing process from scratch.
• Knowledge of digital advertising, ad accounts, and advertising platform APIs.
• Experience testing payment systems, including transaction states, idempotency, rounding, multi-currency, webhooks, and refunds.
• Experience with Sentry, Grafana, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
• Automation experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, Playwright, and AI-assisted end-to-end test generation.
