Contract Student Worker - Fleet Maps Validation (Python)

Zoox is an autonomous ridehailing company developing fully electric, purpose-built robotaxis and the software required to operate them.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain continuous automated validation and release-gating pipelines for off-board mapping and cloud software.
• Define automated test strategies, metrics, and quality gates for component-level and framework-level validation.
• Triage build and pipeline failures and establish regression test suites.
• Collaborate with downstream teams, including SIV, to improve release readiness.
• Analyze large datasets and design triage logic to identify and report key issues.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant B.S. or M.S. program.
• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python.
• Experience building test automation for cloud software.
• Available for a minimum three-month assignment and at least 40 hours per week.
• Able to work on-site at a Zoox office location in the United States.
• Must comply with Zoox confidentiality requirements and may not share proprietary information outside Zoox.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, test automation frameworks, and automated gating for cloud or off-board software.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience using AI engines and tools such as Cursor or Claude for software development.
