Company

hirify.global develops optical and photonic solutions for fast networks, AI and cloud computing, data centers, telecommunications, and advanced manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Act as a technical liaison between engineering, supplier quality, sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, compliance, and component suppliers.
  • Define component requirements, qualification standards, approved vendor lists, and lifecycle controls for products designed for 15+ years of operation.
  • Guide component selection during new product introduction and design activities, considering reliability, manufacturability, supplier capability, quality, and supply-chain risk.
  • Review BOMs for obsolescence, sole-source exposure, lifecycle status, geopolitical risks, and supply continuity; qualify alternate and replacement components.
  • Review PCNs, SPCNs, EOL notices, last-time-buy proposals, manufacturer changes, and engineering change documentation.
  • Assess supplier reliability and field-failure data, support failure analysis and corrective actions, and participate in supplier audits and technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience with electronic components, component engineering, supplier quality, hardware engineering, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of passive and active electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, MOSFETs, ICs, processors, FPGAs, memory, connectors, relays, and power supplies.
  • Experience interpreting datasheets, drawings, specifications, application notes, and qualification reports, as well as performing component qualification and reliability testing.
  • Working knowledge of IEC, JEDEC, AEC-Q, ASTM, IPC, RoHS, REACH, and MSL requirements.
  • Strong technical risk assessment, analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with telecom, datacom, optical networking, aerospace, medical, automotive, or other high-reliability products.
  • Experience with BOM, PLM, ERP, lifecycle-management, or component intelligence tools such as Agile, Accuris, SiliconExpert, Arena, or Windchill.
  • Experience with supplier audits, global component manufacturers, accelerated life testing, environmental testing, and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process technologies, package construction, manufacturing-site transfers, counterfeit-part prevention, and broker-source controls.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work in a company focused on optical and photonic technologies that support connected systems and advanced networks.
  • Collaborate across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, compliance, procurement, and global suppliers.
  • Total compensation may include an annual bonus, equity, and health and welfare benefits.
