Senior Manager, Country Finance Manager MedTech US and Abiomed Global

Location: Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Colombia. The role requires collaboration across North American and global time zones and travel as business needs require.

What you will do

• Lead controllership of actuals and financial reporting for the MedTech US portfolio and Abiomed Global.
• Own end-to-end close governance, including readiness, closing calendars, balance-sheet and income-statement reviews, cash-flow analysis, risk assessment, commentary, and final sign-off.
• Translate financial results into actionable insights for CFOs, Finance Directors, FP&A, and business leaders.
• Coordinate A2R, GSF, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Audit, and transformation teams across countries and functions.
• Strengthen risk management, SOX compliance, audit readiness, controls, and remediation of material issues.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance organization while driving standardization, automation, and digital enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive finance experience and at least 5 years of people-leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with controllership, accounting, reporting, financial analysis, and complex matrix organizations.
• English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent is required for executive meetings, negotiations, presentations, and written communication.
• Experience with SAP and enterprise financial reporting environments; exposure to CFIN, BRAVO, TM1/EPM, BlackLine/Cadency, Power BI, Alteryx, or UiPath is advantageous.
• Availability to work across North American and global time zones and travel domestically or internationally as required.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Exposure to IFRS, local GAAP, statutory reporting, tax coordination, and legal-entity accounting.
• Experience supporting North American markets or senior North American stakeholders.
• Controllership or commercial finance experience in MedTech, medical devices, or another complex product-based business.
• Knowledge of revenue, inventory, standard cost, reserves, profit-in-inventory, and intercompany accounting.
