Principal Decision Scientist, Strategic Partner Analytics (Retail Media/Adtech): Building partner performance analytics, measurement, forecasting, and economic models for Ibotta's publisher network with an accent on experimental design, attribution, and executive-level insight generation. Focus on designing privacy-safe partner measurement, explaining incrementality and marketing mix modeling, automating recurring analytics workflows, and guiding strategic decisions for major retail and delivery partners.
Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; candidates must live in the United States.
Base compensation: $159,000–$190,000 per year, plus variable compensation and equity.

What you will do
- Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to strategic publisher partners and own executive-level analytics relationships.
- Build publisher and network scorecards, performance reporting, KPI definitions, forecasts, and opportunity-sizing models.
- Lead partner-facing measurement, including experiments, holdout tests, case studies, data clean room analyses, and measurement methodology.
- Analyze partner economics such as profitability, revenue share, minimum guarantees, contract performance, overlap, and revenue concentration.
- Develop executive-ready narratives that explain performance drivers, recommendations, and next steps to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Productize recurring requests into standardized, automated, and AI-assisted analytics solutions while mentoring other team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or decision science, preferably in retail media, performance marketing, digital advertising, retail, or CPG.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience; advanced quantitative education is a plus.
- Strong partner-facing consulting and executive communication experience, including presentations to senior and C-suite stakeholders.
- Expertise in experimental and quasi-experimental design, forecasting, attribution, incrementality, marketing mix modeling, and financial modeling.
- Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python, and BI platforms such as Looker or Tableau; experience with data clean rooms and AI-assisted analytics workflows.
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States and must be willing to travel up to 20%.
Nice to have
- Experience with Git/GitHub, Databricks, and data pipeline tooling.
- Experience with mass retail, grocery and delivery, dollar stores, rideshare, last-mile delivery, or quick-service restaurant business models.
- Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
