TL;DR
Product Designer (Business Applications/UX): Designing intuitive business applications and workflow solutions for customer service operations with an accent on user research, usability testing, and process improvement. Focus on translating business requirements into information architecture, interfaces, and interaction designs while influencing stakeholders and evaluating solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
Location: Remote-Flex in North Carolina, United States, with virtual work and a few in-office visits each year; onsite expectations depend on distance from the Durham headquarters.
Salary: $81,068–$129,708 annually, plus an annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do
- Advocate for end users while balancing business goals, operational needs, and technical constraints.
- Lead user experience design for multiple large-scale projects and complex business applications.
- Plan and conduct user research, contextual inquiries, surveys, usability tests, and site visits.
- Translate business requirements and functional specifications into information architecture, user interfaces, interaction designs, wireframes, and user flows.
- Evaluate designs throughout the development lifecycle and drive UX standards and process improvements.
- Present recommendations to stakeholders, including director- and VP-level leaders, and collaborate with developers, product leaders, operational teams, and Web Experience specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree where required, or 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with user experience design for business applications, workflow challenges, and operational processes.
- Ability to work in the United States, with the role based in North Carolina and requiring occasional in-office visits.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and influence cross-functional decisions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Smart Desktop.
- Experience designing B2B or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of business process mapping, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency practices.
- Experience with Salesforce-based applications.
- Exposure to AI-enabled products, digital assistants, or intelligent workflow solutions.
