Senior Credit Controller (Credit Control/Accounts Receivable): Managing a mixed-currency EMEA ledger and supervising credit control activities with an accent on cash collection, debt reduction, invoice resolution, and customer account management. Focus on reducing bad debt and debtor days, balancing credit risk with business growth, developing team members, and improving the end-to-end Order to Cash process.
Location: Coventry, West Midlands, United Kingdom; Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Eligible for virtual and flexible working.

What you will do
- Supervise the Credit Control team and ensure customer payments, statements, invoices, banking, payment allocation, ledger reconciliation, overdue debt collection, account creation, and EDI uploads are completed accurately and on time.
- Own a mixed-currency ledger of key EMEA customer accounts and manage the full credit control cycle.
- Act as an escalation point for aged debt and complex invoice queries, working with internal departments and customers.
- Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, training, support, and performance development.
- Support KPI setting, weekly ledger reviews, cash collection targets, aged debtor targets, credit limits, payment terms, and RMA approvals.
- Improve the Credit Control and end-to-end Order to Cash processes in collaboration with other departments.
Requirements
- Experience supervising a fast-paced Credit Control team, ideally in an FMCG growth business.
- Demonstrated experience developing individual team members and achieving collection and debtor-day targets.
- Experience managing an EMEA multi-currency ledger.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent internal and external relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent IT skills, including intermediate Excel, with a highly organised, proactive, target-driven approach.
- Can-do attitude and openness to change and new ways of working.
