Software Team Leader (Backend)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers, supporting growth in design, architecture, and technical execution.
• Own systems for accounts, apps, users, and onboarding, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Design and deliver scalable backend systems and data flows, including legacy data-store decoupling and resilient domain models.
• Drive architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, modernization initiatives, and adoption of GraphQL Federation where relevant.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software on schedule.
• Contribute to SaaSLab leadership, engineering vision, development processes, and AI-powered SDLC practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing engineers or technical teams.
• 6+ years of software development and design experience with strong backend engineering skills.
• Experience with high-scale, distributed, cloud-based architectures and platform-level services.
• Strong architectural mindset and experience leading migrations or modernization initiatives.
• Experience recruiting and managing high-performing engineers and collaborating with product and business stakeholders.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design, SaaS control-plane systems, identity and access management, billing, multi-tenancy, or API gateways.
• Experience with core entity systems, account management, SaaS onboarding, or internal platform teams.
• Experience with Node, GraphQL, Neo4j, or hyper-scale ad-tech systems.
