SW Developer - Microcontrollers

Location: Brno or Rožnov, Czech Republic. Candidates must already have a valid visa and work permit for the Czech Republic at the application stage.

What you will do

• Implement drivers, subsystems, and middleware in C for new microcontroller devices.
• Develop Zephyr support, including device trees, DTS bindings, and Kconfig.
• Bring up boards and SoCs by working with clocks, pin multiplexing, power, boot, and memory maps.
• Create samples and tests and contribute features, pull requests, reviews, RFCs, and CI fixes upstream.
• Diagnose low-level issues using debuggers, traces, and logic analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams and the open-source community.

Requirements

• Practical experience with embedded programming in C and enthusiasm for working close to hardware.
• Understanding of microcontroller architecture fundamentals and embedded debugging.
• Familiarity with software development workflows, best practices, and Git or other version-control tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.
• Valid visa and work permit for the Czech Republic required at the application stage.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCUXpresso or a similar silicon-vendor ecosystem.
• Zephyr experience, including device tree, Kconfig, and west.
• Experience with MCU interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, I²S, and SDIO.
• Experience with embedded real-time operating systems, Rust, Python, or make.
