Software Quality Engineer (Space)

Location: Bremen, Germany; flexible hybrid arrangement balancing remote and on-site work

What you will do

• Define and implement the software quality program and contribute to the software development life cycle.
• Define and verify software quality requirements for suppliers.
• Prepare and revise software product assurance plans for contractual milestones.
• Implement and assure processes throughout all phases of the software life cycle.
• Support software verification and validation activities.
• Participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, and other internal and external milestone reviews, while reporting to customers and project management.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in software quality assurance, ideally in the space industry.
• Experience applying software process standards such as ECSS, SPICE4Space, ISO 15504, or CMMI.
• Ability to make decisions and communicate them effectively to suppliers and customers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, independent working, flexibility, and sense of responsibility.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
