AI Product Scaling Director

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Design and develop SDKs, libraries, reusable components, templates, and reference implementations for the AI portfolio.
• Define standards for code structure, testing, versioning, packaging, documentation, release management, and production readiness.
• Create automated testing, evaluation, regression, monitoring, and observability patterns for AI and Generative AI systems.
• Establish CI/CD patterns, quality gates, and repeatable workflows that move solutions from experimentation to production.
• Design interfaces and developer experiences for technology teams, AI teams, and low-code or no-code builders.
• Review architecture and code, coach AI practitioners, and help establish agentic development workflows, tooling, and guardrails.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience operating at Staff, Principal, Lead Engineer, or equivalent level.
• Hands-on experience designing systems and writing production-quality code.
• Experience with system design, API and SDK design, testing, CI/CD, versioning, observability, and production operations.
• Understanding of the engineering challenges involved in moving AI and Generative AI solutions from experimentation into production.
• Ability to influence engineers, data scientists, technology partners, and organizational leaders.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience building platforms, frameworks, developer tooling, or reusable services used by multiple teams.
• Experience shaping agentic software development workflows, repository design, testing approaches, review practices, context management, and governance.
