Video Research Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Identify technical research directions for high-quality professional content production, including HDR, wide color gamut, color management, and AI-generated content.
• Research and implement video-processing, computer-vision, and media-processing solutions with attention to complexity and real-time execution.
• Support the development of AI solutions for media processing and progressively lead research activities in the Video Production Services project.
• Contribute to invention disclosures, technology transfer, publications, conferences, trade shows, and other research-valorization activities.
• Contribute video expertise to international and application standards, including SMPTE, ITU-R SG6, ISO/IEC MPEG, JVET, 3GPP, DVB, and ATSC.
• Build collaborations with industrial and academic partners and supervise interns, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers.

Requirements

• PhD in video processing, computer science, color science, mathematics, signal processing, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in video-processing research, algorithmic exploration, and algorithm development.
• Knowledge of or ability to develop expertise in deep learning, color science, computer vision, and image processing.
• Experience with C/C++, Windows/Linux, Python, and PyTorch.
• Strong record of research dissemination through publications, standardization, talks, or panels.
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is appreciated.
