Finance Change & Transformation Expert (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy

Annual base salary starting from €51,000, plus variable remuneration aligned with applicable remuneration policies.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Finance change and transformation initiatives from impact assessment and solution design through implementation and post-go-live stabilization.
• Assess the impact of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and banking products on processes, controls, data, systems, and reporting.
• Translate Finance needs into business requirements, process designs, data specifications, quality and lineage requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and implement accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting solutions with analytics, automation, and progressively adopted AI capabilities.
• Coordinate Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Data, Technology, Group, and local stakeholders while managing scope, milestones, risks, governance, and remediation.
• Coordinate testing, data migration, reconciliations, reporting validation, training, business readiness, and transition to business-as-usual operations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least four years of audit experience, preferably in banking or another regulated financial institution, followed by at least two years of consulting or Finance transformation experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, end-to-end Finance processes, and preferably banking products and accounting flows.
• Experience with complex Finance initiatives such as IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IFRS 18, general ledger transformation, Finance data architecture, Data Management, AI-enabled process transformation, or core banking implementation.
• Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, impact analysis, solution design, testing, migration, reconciliation, implementation, project management, and Agile or traditional delivery.
• Fluent written and spoken English, strong stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across functions and geographies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of banking prudential and supervisory reporting requirements and their connection to source data, calculations, controls, and reporting outputs.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, data lineage, responsible AI adoption, and AI roadmap development.
