Location: Based in Zomba, Malawi, with significant and regular travel to other districts in Malawi

What you will do

  • Build and maintain working relationships with district officials, government departments, community leaders, NGOs, and private-sector partners.
  • Identify partnership opportunities and represent hirify.global at district forums, coordination meetings, and community events.
  • Scope new operational locations, lead district entry processes, and support programme rollout and ongoing liaison.
  • Gather, synthesize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data for clear reports and decision-making briefs.
  • Monitor political, economic, social, security, and reputational developments that may affect programme delivery.
  • Support community awareness activities and coordinate external-relations work with field operations and programme teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional fluency in English and Chichewa.
  • 3–4 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, or related partnership work.
  • Strong understanding of government protocols, diplomacy, independent research, data management, and structured report writing.
  • Strong judgement, communication, facilitation, documentation, and risk-identification skills.
  • Ability to work independently in field settings, manage competing priorities, and travel regularly across Malawi.
