Senior Backend Engineer (DevX)

Location: Hybrid work in Belgrade, Serbia

What you will do

• Understand engineering challenges and improve the developer experience.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal tooling and systems for the internal development platform.
• Use the engineering platform to support agentic coding and AI-assisted development.
• Define development processes, frameworks, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers across an international technical community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with TypeScript.
• 2+ years implementing serverless, event-driven microservice architectures using AWS, including Lambda, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway.
• Experience building pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Strong experience with automated testing and multiple testing strategies.
• AI-first development mindset with ownership of production systems and a product-oriented approach.
• Strong English communication skills and availability for hybrid work in Belgrade, Serbia.

Nice to have

• Experience in Developer Experience or Platform Engineering.
• Experience maintaining libraries and developer tooling.
• Experience integrating AI into engineering stacks.
