Power Derivatives - Exchange Desk Analyst/Associate (Fintech)

Location: Oslo, Norway. Shift work is required within Exchange Desk opening hours of 07:30–18:30 CET, including some Norwegian public holidays when Continental markets are open.

hirify.global operates exchange and clearing services supporting European power markets through the Nord Pool and hirify.global Exchange Desk.

What you will do

• Manage exchange desk activities including order management, trade registration, and trade cancellation support.
• Act as a first point of contact for trading members, market makers, brokers, liquidity providers, and other market participants.
• Support Nordic, Baltic, and Continental power products and provide education on power futures for risk management.
• Provide technical information on new products, trading interfaces, and clearing front ends.
• Support the onboarding of new trading members and clients through product and initiative launches.
• Improve operational tools and processes while coordinating with Operations, EMS, Sales, Product Development, and technology teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, energy, economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in a trading desk, market operations, exchange, or broker operations environment, ideally in energy markets.
• Understanding of power derivatives markets and proficiency with trading or order-management systems and analytical tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Clear, confident communication and high attention to detail in a real-time, business-critical environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English and a Scandinavian language are required.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with European power markets.
• Knowledge of matching-engine behaviour, order types, and market microstructure.
• Written and spoken German.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, clearing processes, and exchange matters affecting power derivatives trading.
