Data Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Model new products by defining data logging, revenue recognition, cost logic, data marts, and dashboards.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Partnerships, Data Engineering, engineers, and product managers to turn business questions into reliable datasets.
• Build and maintain transaction cost models covering acquiring, interchange, scheme, FX, KYC, fraud, chargebacks, blockchain, and custody fees.
• Create data-quality checks and alerts using dbt tests and Airflow, integrating notifications with Slack and Jira.
• Automate monthly reconciliations between partner invoices, settlement reports, internal ledgers, blockchain data, custody systems, and exchanges.
• Define mappings and validate data when new acquirers, payment methods, or products are launched.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering, preferably in payments, fintech, e-money, or crypto.
• Expert SQL skills for large transactional datasets, including window functions, deduplication, incremental logic, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or a similar tool, Git-based workflows, pull requests, and code review; familiarity with Airflow.
• Strong understanding of card payment economics, including acquiring, interchange and scheme fees, settlement, chargebacks, 3DS, declines, and alternative payment methods.
• Experience with Python, BI tools such as Metabase or Tableau, and reconciliation of settlement or invoice data against internal ledgers.
• Professional English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of crypto infrastructure, including on-chain transactions, custody platforms, exchange APIs, and network fees.
• Experience with KYC/AML and fraud-prevention vendors and their pricing models.
• Experience with ClickHouse, StarRocks, or another MPP database.
• Experience building P&L or unit-economics models with Finance.
