Film Strategy Intern

Location: Central London, United Kingdom; on-site work required four days per week. The 12-month internship runs from Monday 5 July 2027 to Friday 21 July 2028. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the full internship.

What you will do

• Monitor box office performance for Universal titles in release and track competing films.
• Identify performance trends and communicate industry news and key developments to the business.
• Support analysts with projects that provide strategic insight for senior management and theatrical release planning.
• Coordinate information requests with international territory offices and track system interactions.
• Validate data, prepare pre-opening and opening weekend reports, and gather box office estimates.
• Prepare distribution presentations, lead the monthly Trailer Meeting, and contribute to ad-hoc analysis projects.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.
• Must be able to work in the Central London office on-site four days per week.
• Currently studying at university and returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028, or seeking work experience after A-Levels, an equivalent course, or an apprenticeship.
• Demonstrable interest in and passion for the film industry.
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail, writing ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Motivation to learn, develop creative solutions, and turn data into business insights.

Nice to have

• Excel and PowerPoint skills.
