Lead Java Developer (AWS)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications and services.
• Lead technical design discussions and translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, best-practice guidance, and hands-on problem solving.
• Build, deploy, monitor, and operate applications in AWS cloud environments using AWS CLI.
• Design and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs, integrations, microservices, and backend services.
• Support production releases, investigate incidents, optimize performance, and contribute to architecture and cloud modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java software development experience, including technical delivery leadership or guidance of development teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, object-oriented programming, backend development, and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or Hibernate.
• Strong experience with AWS services and practical use of AWS CLI for deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, automation, and resource management.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, incident management, access control, performance optimization, cost awareness, testing, release management, and production support.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, system integrations, relational databases, and efficient SQL queries.
• Professional English communication is required; the role is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nice to have

• Experience with EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, messaging technologies, and security best practices.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence, AWS certifications, or enterprise-scale financial services environments.
