TL;DR
Engineer III, AI SDLC Engineer (AI): Building agentic workflows, context-grounding systems, model-routing infrastructure, and observability tooling that automate software development lifecycle tasks with an accent on LLM agents, developer platforms, and cost-efficient model use. Focus on designing benchmark-driven optimization, improving agent quality and latency, and integrating AI capabilities into code generation, review, testing, and release workflows.

Location: USA - Remote

Base salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Company

CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity company that provides an AI-native platform for protecting organizations and processing large-scale security event data.

What you will do

  • Design and build agentic workflows for code generation, review, testing, and release.
  • Improve context-grounding systems so AI agents retrieve accurate information with fewer search iterations.
  • Develop model-routing capabilities that balance task suitability, quality, latency, and compute or model spend.
  • Build observability and quality tooling, including dashboards, usage insights, and benchmark suites.
  • Define and run internal benchmarks for bug detection, review quality, latency, and other real-world engineering tasks.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify workflow friction and implement responsible, agent-driven automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, ideally with production Kubernetes systems.
  • Hands-on experience building or operating LLM-agent infrastructure, including harnesses, tool-integration protocols, or subagent orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of context windows, prompt design, caching, and reasoning or latency trade-offs in LLM applications.
  • Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Go and/or Python, plus experience with internal developer platforms, observability tooling, or cost and governance dashboards.
  • Comfort working with ambiguous and evolving specifications.

Nice to have

  • Experience with modern AI coding agent frameworks or SDKs.
  • Familiarity with graph-based context systems, knowledge graphs, or entity resolution for LLM applications.
  • Experience instrumenting or optimizing large-scale event pipelines.
  • Experience running benchmark-driven optimization programs, including A/B testing or Pareto-frontier tracking.

Culture & Benefits

  • Flexible work environment with autonomy and a focus on responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs.
  • Competitive vacation, holidays, and paid parental and adoption leave.
  • Professional development opportunities for employees at all levels.
  • Employee networks, neighborhood groups, volunteer opportunities, and office amenities.
