Mechanical Engineer Product Engineering (Boiler)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid setup with home office possible two days a week; willingness to travel to suppliers or project sites up to 10% of the time.

Basic wage component: €2,200 gross per month minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Prepare conceptual and basic engineering documentation for boiler equipment and in-house products.
• Issue RFQ and purchase-order technical specifications for third-party equipment and internal products.
• Lead technical supplier negotiations and support shortlisting, award decisions, and lot kick-off meetings.
• Supervise supplier engineering progress, review documentation, and conduct inspections and factory acceptance tests at supplier premises.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering disciplines, clients, consortium partners, and third parties while managing design freezes and change requests.
• Support technical queries, claims, non-conformities, construction, and commissioning issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of processes, products, and industrial plants.
• Project execution experience in an EPC environment; less than 3 years for Junior level, more than 3 years for Mechanical Engineer level, or at least 5 years for Senior level.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and technical cost-driver knowledge.
• Experience with engineering databases, document management systems, 3D tools, and MS Office.

Nice to have

• Construction or commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
