Design Engineer

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work with home office possible 2 days per week.

Basic wage component: €2,200 gross per month minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Own and deliver mechanical design packages, including 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, schedules, quality standards, and engineering guidelines.
• Collaborate with layout planning, procurement, and suppliers on equipment sourcing, technical evaluations, and contract execution.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing progress and quality inspections, and provide assembly and operational documentation.
• Maintain product standards and design manuals, support product development, and share engineering knowledge.

Requirements

• Mechanical Design Engineer qualification with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience in project engineering, supplier management, and procurement of technical equipment in an international environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical discussions and develop engineering standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of mechanical design, sheet metal and welded structures, materials, manufacturing processes, strength calculations, and FEM analysis.
• Fluent English required.
• Knowledge of machinery directives, occupational safety regulations, and plant or apparatus engineering is advantageous.
