Director; Client Consulting - Ho Chi Minh (Payments)

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end consulting engagements for issuing, acquiring, merchant, and fintech clients.
• Define client pain points, project scopes, deliverables, dependencies, roles, responsibilities, and revenue opportunities.
• Develop payment strategies, roadmaps, product-market fit assessments, customer value propositions, digital wallet initiatives, and mobile banking improvements.
• Work with data science teams on data-driven customer engagement solutions, including AI model deployment.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client executives and collaborate with product, marketing, risk, and innovation teams.
• Conduct industry research, develop recommendations and presentations, and support thought leadership on the future of payments.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in consulting, corporate strategy, banking, or business management.
• Senior-level experience in Big Four, MBB, boutique consulting, or equivalent organizations.
• Knowledge of the payments industry, consumer trends, and regulatory developments in Malaysia.
• Strong client relationship management, sales orientation, commercial acumen, and experience selling major projects to senior management.
• Proven experience executing initiatives with measurable business impact, including cost savings, product launches, or revenue growth.
• Superior analytical, problem-solving, presentation, collaboration, and project management skills, with experience leading change and working in matrixed organizations.

Nice to have

• Direct experience leading large, high-impact client projects in consulting, payments, technology, or financial services.
• Exposure to customer experience design, human-centered design, and design thinking.
• Strong undergraduate academic record.
