TL;DR
Molding Technical Expert (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Advancing molding equipment and tooling technologies across semiconductor back-end sites with an accent on quality, productivity, OEE, process capability, and cross-site standardization. Focus on leading breakthrough projects, benchmarking equipment, aligning package roadmaps with installed capabilities, and solving complex tooling and equipment challenges across multiple locations.
Location: Seremban, Malaysia. Full-time role with travel to different sites when required.

What you will do
- Drive technology advancement for molding equipment and tooling across back-end sites.
- Introduce breakthrough molding projects and coordinate execution with site Engineering teams, suppliers, Package R&D, Business Groups, and Procurement.
- Share best practices across sites and monitor deployment of processes and applications.
- Lead OEE, quality, productivity, and cost improvement initiatives.
- Lead the Mold User Group and oversee equipment benchmarking across sites.
- Align package roadmaps with the installed equipment base and capability limitations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience as an Equipment, Tooling, Process, or R&D Engineer specializing in molding within the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience with molding machines such as ASM, Towa, Yamada, or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, tooling, electrical, AOI, and mechatronics systems, including tooling materials and coatings.
- Experience with PDCA, 8D, DMAIC, QC Tools, FMEA, equipment purchase specifications, technical reporting, presentations, and project management.
- Good command of English for professional written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Nice to have
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or above.
- Experience working in cross-cultural and multi-site environments.
