Senior Software QA Test Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. The role requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in Malaysia.

What you will do

• Validate FPGA compilation designs in GUI and Tcl-based environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software verification and validation test plans.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests for the Radiant software platform.
• Analyze test coverage and improve test scenarios to meet quality objectives.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document defects while collaborating with development teams on resolution.
• Review feature requirements and contribute to automation using AI, scripting languages, and GUI testing frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, validation, or testing.
• Proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Tcl for test development and automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Right to work in Malaysia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GUI testing platforms such as Squish.
• Experience with software test automation, regression testing, and continuous integration methodologies.
