TL;DR
Head of Generation Data and Digital (Renewable Energy): Leading data, digital and technology capabilities for renewable energy generation assets with an accent on asset reliability, operational performance, safety and cost outcomes. Focus on owning portfolio strategy and investment priorities, integrating business and operational technology, and delivering transformation programmes such as DigiGEN.
Location: Christchurch, Wellington or Twizel, New Zealand

What you will do
- Lead the Generation Data & Digital value stream and align it with Generation and wider business strategy.
- Own the Generation data and digital portfolio, investment priorities and measurable value outcomes.
- Improve asset availability, reliability, flexibility, safety, operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Partner with the Generation Leadership Team to define operational, process and behavioural changes.
- Own outcomes for transformation programmes, including the DigiGEN digital generation programme.
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience with accountability for enterprise-scale data and digital outcomes.
- Experience integrating business technology, operational technology, data and analytics in a safe, secure and well-governed manner.
- Technical depth to work credibly with architects, engineers and ICT leaders while maintaining a business-led perspective.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, resilience, enterprise architecture, technology lifecycle management and technology investment decisions.
- Strong commercial judgement and experience building high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience embedding modern ways of working, such as product-led delivery, OKRs and strengths-based leadership, in operational environments.
Nice to have
- Understanding of tikanga Māori and Te Ao Māori.
- Experience leading in ways that reflect kaitiakitanga, whanaungatanga and manaakitanga.
