Senior Backend Engineer (Java / Go)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evolve core backend systems for social products.
• Improve system performance, stability, availability, and technical quality.
• Translate complex business requirements into reusable and scalable system capabilities.
• Improve service governance, data pipelines, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and engineering productivity.
• Drive technical planning, participate in design and code reviews, and collaborate with product, operations, algorithm, and client engineering teams.
• Apply AI-assisted development across requirements analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java or Go with strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, message queues, caching, databases, and service governance.
• Experience designing and building large-scale, highly concurrent, highly available online systems.
• Strong technical judgment, business acumen, problem-solving, and cross-functional execution skills.
• Proficiency with AI-powered coding and development tools, while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability.

Nice to have

• Experience with social platforms, content communities, instant messaging, recommendation systems, or user growth.
• Experience building feeds, comments, social graphs, messaging, or real-time communication systems.
• Experience with global internet products, cross-region systems, complex architecture, or technical planning.
