What you will do
- Run operational procedures for mission-critical banking applications, including End of Day, Start of Day, backups, restores, and replication.
- Monitor service availability around the clock and handle data center incidents, alerts, and escalations.
- Maintain backup and restore processes, including cold backups monitored through Veritas NetBackup and VEEAM.
- Monitor database performance, growth, disk space, alert logs, memory, I/O, and SQL activity; escalate issues when required.
- Support database recovery and activate or operate disaster recovery centers when necessary.
- Provide first-level help desk support after normal working hours and collaborate with other IT teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT operations.
- Experience in data center operations, monitoring, incident handling, and escalation.
- Experience in banking or financial institutions.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Knowledge of Windows, Solaris, Linux, hardware components, bank operating procedures, help desk applications, and Control-M job flows.
Nice to have
- IT certifications in Windows, Linux, or SQL.
- ITIL or other relevant non-IT certifications.
