Sr. Developer Advocate (Quantum Computing)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; on-site. The role supports developer initiatives across the broader APAC region.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver onboarding, training, tutorials, demonstrations, troubleshooting guidance, and self-service resources for hirify.global hardware, software, cloud services, APIs, tools, and workflows.
• Lead technical talks, webinars, workshops, hackathons, conferences, and developer education programs for audiences with different levels of quantum computing and software expertise.
• Create technically accurate tutorials, sample workflows, FAQs, release guidance, documentation, demonstrations, and localized resources for Japanese and APAC audiences.
• Build relationships with developers, researchers, startups, universities, academic institutions, industry partners, and technical communities across APAC.
• Represent APAC developer needs internally by identifying adoption barriers, documentation gaps, recurring technical issues, and emerging use cases.
• Plan regional advocacy priorities, investigate and triage technical issues, influence product and developer-experience improvements, and mentor colleagues and subject matter experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Japanese proficiency for leading technical discussions, delivering presentations and training, building community relationships, and creating developer communications.
• Professional English proficiency for collaboration with global teams and communication with international developer audiences.
• Experience in developer advocacy, software engineering, solutions engineering, technical education, developer enablement, or another external-facing technical role.
• Ability to investigate, reproduce, triage, and clearly communicate technical issues while turning developer feedback into actionable recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities across global teams and regional programs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quantum computing, scientific computing, high-performance computing, AI/ML, or another advanced technology domain.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Linux, cloud platforms, APIs, GitHub, or modern software development workflows.
• Experience creating technical content, tutorials, sample projects, demonstrations, videos, documentation, or developer resources.
• Existing relationships or demonstrated credibility within technical communities in Japan or the broader APAC region.
• Experience using engagement, adoption, content, or community data to evaluate and improve developer programs.
