Senior Technical Sourcer, APAC (Contractor)

What you will do

• Develop and own technical sourcing strategies across APAC for Engineering and Applied Science roles.
• Build talent pipelines through market mapping, prospect identification, personalized outreach, qualification, and recruiter handoff.
• Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and technical leaders to define target profiles, priorities, feedback loops, and candidate quality standards.
• Use funnel data and market intelligence to identify bottlenecks, assess talent availability, understand compensation expectations, and recommend hiring adjustments.
• Apply AI-assisted research, automation, technical communities, referrals, open-source projects, and research networks to diversify sourcing channels.
• Maintain accurate candidate and sourcing data in ATS and CRM systems while communicating pipeline health, risks, and priorities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical sourcing or technical recruiting experience with a strong record of engaging engineering talent.
• Experience sourcing across multiple APAC markets and adapting approaches to local talent ecosystems and candidate expectations.
• Ability to translate ambiguous hiring briefs into focused sourcing plans and adjust decisions based on evidence.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and machine learning sufficient to evaluate relevant technical experience.
• Proficiency with advanced search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, search engines, and ATS/CRM platforms.
• Experience using AI-assisted sourcing tools or automation, analyzing funnel metrics, and managing multiple complex searches.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing for applied science, AI/ML, or other specialized technical disciplines.
• Experience building pipelines for senior or staff-level engineers in distributed systems, large-scale infrastructure, or data-intensive environments.
• Experience developing sourcing approaches for new markets or hard-to-fill technical roles.
• Familiarity with technology platforms operating at significant scale.
