Senior Member of Technical Staff (Applied AI)

Location: On-site in Toronto, Ontario; legally entitled to work in Canada. The role starts remotely for the first few months, includes a first month working in person in New York, and will transition to working five days a week from the Toronto office.

Salary: CAD $210,000–$300,000 depending on experience, seniority, and ownership level, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction of AI systems covering retrieval, generation, verification, evaluation, and production operations.
• Build systems that generate polished pharmaceutical emails, banners, slides, and leave-behinds with reliable visual and textual quality.
• Connect generated content to real-world outcomes such as engagement, healthcare professional response, and scripts written.
• Develop offline metrics that track downstream medical, legal, and regulatory review pass rates.
• Implement claim-level attribution across prescribing information, clinical data, approved assets, style guides, and claim libraries.
• Build ML CI/CD, versioning, automated testing, monitoring, and behavioral regression detection.

Requirements

• Experience shipping, operating, and maintaining ML or LLM systems in production.
• Experience creating metrics to evaluate and improve AI systems.
• Strong depth in LLM retrieval, agentic pipelines, targeted fine-tuning, and tool selection.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, Docker, and AWS, with the ability to take ideas from research to deployed service independently.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous situations and clear, direct collaboration and feedback skills.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada; work permit sponsorship is not available.
