Associate Director, Patient Support Services (Biopharma): Developing and optimizing patient access, hub operations, and support programs across sleep, neuroscience, and oncology franchises with an accent on patient affordability, reimbursement support, and customer experience. Focus on leading complex access initiatives, managing vendors and performance metrics, and translating operational insights into executive-level improvements.
Location: Remote/home-based for US-based candidates only; listed locations include San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia. Travel up to 30% is required for corporate meetings, vendor visits, and professional or patient conferences.
Base salary: $160,000–$240,000 per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Develop and execute patient support, hub, and access strategies across Sleep, EMD, and Oncology franchises.
- Optimize patient support programs, access services, communications, navigation tools, training, and customer-facing content.
- Manage copay assistance, patient assistance, bridge programs, and other access program offerings.
- Define and track KPIs, assess operational performance, and present insights to senior leadership.
- Lead vendor and agency relationships, including service levels, deliverables, customer service, and budgets.
- Collaborate with Access and Reimbursement, Specialty Trade and Distribution, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Patient Advocacy, and Field Access teams.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent directly relevant industry experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in patient support services, hub operations, access marketing, or healthcare operations within biopharmaceuticals.
- Experience leading complex projects and strategic initiatives from concept through execution.
- Experience managing third-party hub vendors, specialty pharmacies, and creative agencies, including SLA monitoring and budget reconciliation.
- Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, cross-functional leadership, and patient-centric service skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with specialty or rare disease products.
- Experience in Sleep medicine, Neuroscience/EMD, or Oncology.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D and commercial reimbursement.
