TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Unity/C++/C#): Developing market-leading gaming content and game software for gaming machines and specialist hardware with an accent on full-lifecycle development, performance optimization, and maintainable architecture. Focus on designing complex game features, troubleshooting software and hardware-related issues, and mentoring junior engineers across a multidisciplinary studio.
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; attendance at the Manchester studio is required 4 days per week. Regular on-site work involves developing, testing, and troubleshooting software on gaming machines and specialist hardware. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.

What you will do
- Develop game content and features using Unity, C++, and C#.
- Design, implement, test, release, and maintain software components throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Investigate defects, performance issues, and technical challenges across gaming machines and specialist hardware.
- Optimize game performance, stability, code quality, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with artists, game designers, mathematicians, QA engineers, producers, and developers.
- Review code, share technical knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Commercial software development experience with C++ and complex codebases.
- Professional experience developing games with Unity and strong C# skills.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Experience designing, debugging, maintaining, and delivering robust software across the full development lifecycle.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, communicating technical information, and mentoring or coaching engineers.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering.
