Location: Remote position associated with Farmington Hills, Michigan; Syracuse, New York; Davenport, Iowa; Maywood and Melrose Park, Illinois; and Rockford, Michigan
Salary: $17.4969–$26.2454 per hour

What you will do
- Review, monitor, and follow up on patient credit accounts receivable within the healthcare revenue cycle.
- Research the causes of credit balances and document discrepancies, rejections, exceptions, and follow-up activities.
- Prepare patient refund checks, post refunds, process account adjustments or write-offs, and reconcile cash postings.
- Rebill claims and support accurate submission of claims and patient statements.
- Track payment activity and findings for the Payment Posting Supervisor and provide backup support to Payment Posting Representatives.
- Coordinate with customer service teams regarding patient overpayments and account resolution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, plus at least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with revenue cycle functions, medical claims processing, financial counseling, financial clearance, accounting, or customer service in a healthcare financial setting.
- Knowledge of health insurance, governmental programs, billing processes, Medicare, Medicaid, managed care contracts, and coordination of benefits is highly desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, accuracy, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
- The position is remote but is associated with listed U.S. locations.
