Risk & Disputes Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Colombia; full-time availability required Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time.

Salary: 2,800,000 COP monthly; paid internship.

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within established timeframes.
• Work with fraud, disputes, operations, analytics, data science, and engineering teams to determine case actions.
• Analyze transactions, account patterns, and internal data to identify fraud trends and emerging risks.
• Recommend improvements to loss prevention processes, tools, and mechanisms.
• Meet or exceed SLAs for queued cases and handle internal and external escalations professionally.
• Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools for research, productivity, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
• Ability to work full-time during the required Central Time schedule.
