Fraud & Disputes Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Brazil; full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm Central Time.

Salary: $800 USD per month as an independent contractor.

What you will do

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve cases within established timeframes.
• Work with fraud, disputes, operations, data science, and engineering teams to determine case actions and improve loss prevention.
• Analyze transactions, account patterns, and internal data to identify fraud trends and risks.
• Maintain strong knowledge of fraud prevention techniques, technologies, policies, and review methodologies.
• Meet service-level agreements for queued cases and handle internal and external escalations professionally.
• Use Claude or equivalent large language model tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing data and making impactful decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, analytical, business judgment, and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.
• Ability to work full-time from Brazil during Central Time business hours.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool is required.
