What you will do
- Build, test, commission, and maintain prototype vehicles and Hardware-in-the-Loop setups.
- Work with high-performance compute platforms, embedded modules, sensors, wiring harnesses, and related hardware.
- Diagnose, repair, and rework hardware failures across vehicle and compute systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on one-off hardware configuration tests and troubleshooting.
- Manage workshop equipment, tools, inventory, procedures, test results, and system configurations.
- Support prototype assembly, vehicle bring-up, commissioning, and continuous system integration improvements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building wiring harnesses and working from wiring diagrams.
- Experience building complex systems in a production or engineering environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to provide practical technical support and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Tenacious, hands-on approach with attention to the broader impact of technical decisions.
- Passion for learning and contributing to autonomous vehicle technology.
Nice to have
- Experience building and maintaining autonomous vehicle hardware, including LiDAR, radar, cameras, compute platforms, and wiring harnesses.
- Experience flashing and commissioning hardware or embedded systems.
- Experience with change management and version control systems.
